Any Help Appreciated

As a lot of people know me would know, I never ask for help even when I really need it. I'm very stubborn that way.

But these last few months have taken a toll on both me and my other half Will (aka my man who keeps me sane and grounded) both emotionally and financially.

It all started when we found out that Will would be losing his job, and with that his insurance. Sure enough while this is all going on we found out that Will had a tumor that was potentially cancerous. On top of this we were in the middle of our plans to move into our first apartment together. Well now after a few major procedures and this last week his surgery to finally remove the tumor, we're hurting to pay our regular bills. Because I'm the only one with a full-time job, just about everything I have goes into paying everything possible, and even then it's not enough (I only earn a little above minimum wage).

And here's where we get the biggest kick to the gut. On St. Patrick's Day while on our way to visit his parents (as he hadn't been able to get out of the house for about a week), we found our car broken into. I don't know how, but they managed to pry the top of the passenger side door down shattering the glass and ransacking the insides. They managed to make away with a grand total of $2 in toll change that they took with the change purse I held it in. Suffice to say, the cops were no help, and a man walking his dog said that he'd seen the damage for about a week, even parking his car next to ours and never made an attempt to contact the authorities. So now we're without a car and the damage is going to cost us $$$. I've been trying to go to work by bus since his surgery, but will continue to do so since I don't have an alternate way to get there. So the things we need to pay for keep piling up.

Here's where you come in. If you're able to, any donations would be greatly appreciated. I will be offering sketches to anyone who requests one (I will be trying to get them done as soon as possible as I had to take on more gigs to help pay for groceries), but anything would go a long way. Everything will be used to pay off bills.

If you'd like to request a sketch, let me know what the subject you'd like by e-mail at: deillustration@gmail.com

Whoah! Things Are Moving Fast!

Hey guys (those that remain!), it's been awhile since I've been able to update here. Things have been getting pretty hectic in these parts, work is getting more and more difficult (but I still have a job so I'm keeping my fingers crossed), the relationship with the bf is getting better and better which makes me very happy, and artwork (while slow in the making) is getting to the point where I finally feel like I've hit a stride.

I've posted quite a few things to my Deviantart page as of late. Including one very awesome full color Adeline piece. At some point soon I'll try to get things up here. Until then, stay frosty!

Commission and Diagnosis!

I finally got the results from my blood work done a week or so ago, I've been officially diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. It's not a great thing to have naturally, but it's nice to finally put a name on all the stuff going on lately. The symptoms are exactly what I've been experiencing. So now I'll be starting to take some medication to correct the levels and in about six weeks return to get another blood test and see where that goes.

I won't beg again, but it'd be nice to take in some more commissions to kinda offset the cost of the doctor visits and prescriptions because it's hitting my account hard and I have a lot of bills to take care of. And since my birthday is officially in a month, I've been trying to save up to do something nice.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing alright. You can check out my last commission in my gallery if you want to take a gander at what you can score :)

Doctor Who Sketchcards

Hey all! Been pretty busy as of late, training for more stuff at work and working on my ONE commission (c'mon guys give me some credit).

Anyway I started working on some Doctor Who sketchcards to generate interest since original works don't seem to cut it. Here are the first four (I have about six in the wings waiting to be colored). You can take the link back to my Deviantart page to see a bigger image. I will be selling them if anyone is interested.

In other news, I started penciling my book. I'm hoping to get enough done to start inking it :D

Well that's it out of me for now, if anyone wants to commission me, you know where to find me!

Commissions Most Welcome

Hi guys! It's been awhile and I am working on a pic I plan to have finished soon (it's too damn complicated). But with money issues piling up it'd be nice to get some commissions in to get me some financial breathing room.

I've expressed my concern about why I haven't had anyone asking for anything when it seems people flock to pay for work from artists living in their parents basement begging for money to pay for a new game console or as an excuse to not get a real job to supplement income.

I (like many artists) have to bust our collective asses working at jobs that kill our will to live and to keep a roof over our heads (work for the Tax dept for crissake), it'd be nice to work on things that give us pleasure to help pay for those much needed resources. I'm not complaining, but lately it's been nagging me. I think I'm a pretty good artist, but it's like no one ever asks me for work no matter how much I try to get my info out there.

If anyone still reads this blog, I hope some of you are looking for a nice piece of art for their place lol And if by any chance someone wants to commission me, please hit me up. I accept paypal, e-mail me or message me with your ideas.

Hope to get some money raised to keep that electricity flowing in the apartment...

On a Roll (At Least I Think So)

So I've really been concentrating on getting full pieces done lately. What with the stuff I posted last week and right now, I really think I'm getting better at this whole "art" thing. Still no commissions so I'm spending my free time with Jonathan Frakes watching Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction ,drawing my OCs, or with my boyfriend who is not Jonathan Frakes (but just as/even more awesome) :B Still no word on if I'm being laid off again, we'll find out once the tax deadline passes tomorrow.

Anyway, my crowning glories for the week! I've been working on the concept of a weird ass Aztec looking robot thing for years now, and I've finally colored a damn picture! Yay me! Anyway, feedback would be greatly appreciated as this is a new thing for me as to where my artwork is progressing.

And a piece that nearly brought me to tears illustrating it:

I wish I had more time to get the pages to their story out. It's killing me inside!

Well, that's all I've got for now. Commissions are always welcome!
