Fight for Your Life

Took long enough, but I finally finished this piece I've been working on for the last month or so. Comments are greatly appreciated (as well as commissions!)

Just thought Sariel needed to be even more badass...

HA! HA! Half a NSFW Post!

I said I'd be back, only I'm not as intimidating as 1980's Arnold Schwarzenegger. Anyway I felt productive this weekend and got a few pics done that I'm really happy with, one of which is *ahem* going back to Sariel and her questionable fashion sense.

The following pics were done with my new copic markers and some random touch ups with photoshop and a gelly pen :B

First up, something I'm really happy with because it hurt my hands so damn much.

Aaaaaaand Latex! (which I know NOW is such a bitch to render in markers)

Hope you all like these pieces! And here's hoping I can get some commissions soon! It'd really be great :D

Until next time!

That Girl - Sariel...

I dunno, I almost gave up on this piece while I was still working on the sketch. I'm really glad I didn't. Leave it to Sariel to be hanging out with a bunch of skulls...

And here's the breakdown from inks to color to final image. This was the first piece I've done coloring completely with Copic pens as opposed to my precious Prismacolors. Blending with these pens is an amazing experience and I'm so thrilled to be able to pick a few of those babies up. Won't completely ditch my Prismas, but Robot gods be damned those are some nice pens.

Anyway, still working on my secret project. Something for myself because I can be greedy (and because no one commissions me to keep me busy otherwise).

Will post again soon when I finish it, probably won't be for a little while as I'll be moving again within the week due to some... Troublesome circumstances (which is why I can use the work).

Later all!

The Universe Is...

Made up of billions and billions and billions....

Of stuff other than stars. Like this pic I finished coloring today I thought was hilarious (I hate it when I laugh too much when I ink). Anyway, growing up my mom always encouraged us to watch shows that were stimulating (rather than wasting ALL of our precious attention span with Sailor Moon and what have you at the time) so Cosmos was always at the top of the list. I loved it to death (even named our oldest cat Sagan, who has a little star on her chest). But something about good old Carl always reminded me of something completely different. For awhile I couldn't place my finger on it, but then it dawned on me "It's KERMIT!"

...Or rather, Carl Sagan sounds like Kermit the Frog from the Muppet fame.

So for years I would joke with my mom about the similarity and for years she would always deny it. I dare anyone to listen to him speak and tell me he doesn't!

I drew this in retaliation so to speak :B

Love you!!

And because I haven't posted any sketches since the first day of the new year, I doodled a few things I thought came out pretty sweet. I've been so swamped/tired from my state jobs (back working at Tax again) that I haven't had the time to get everything up. I hope you all enjoy! And as always, commissions are always welcome!!

Now to finish off a few things to post later. And people are posting their Shi preview cards, so hopefully I can get mine up within the next few days! Be on the look-out!

Hope everyone is doing alright! Stay frosty!
D

The First Sketchdump of the Year!

Haw haw haw She said dump *snickers*

As promised I've scanned in a bunch of stuff to compile for a New Year's post!

The first sketch is something specifically for the new year, and the second is a sketchdump I've been piecing together (mainly sketches and doodles from work and such as I hardly had any time recently to do much outside of my full time job and thumbs for the Adeline book).

In any case, I hope you guys enjoy them! As always I'm open for commissions if any of ya got some cash burning a hole in your pocket :D

And Happy New Year officially! *HUGSALLAROUND*

Some Fembot's been dipping into the moonshine, poor Adeline...

And here's the first dump of the year (*still snickers*)
I'm hoping to get some more doodles done as soon as possible, especially if I get that job at Tax again this year and have the notepads in front of me again :B

One More Before You Bust a Gut...

Thought I'd get some more stuff up before a weekend of gluttony initiates! I've been meaning to post a Loki doodle I did for my sister Nicole. So there's that, and there's some sketches I did in my travel moleskine...

Also, I'm going to be pretty tight financially for awhile until my checks start to balance out (since they're all the size of my rent exactly). So I'll be taking on commissions if anyone is interested and I'll be coming up with some sketchcard sets to sell off as well.

Here's a scan of all the Grimm cards together! Just thought they looked pretty badass...

For the life of me I can't remember what I've posted! I'm just too lazy to double back and check :B But I can't wait to get a chance to finish this! Sariel loves her metal pussy *snerk*

And a Loki I doodled...

And lastly, some sketches of characters I haven't drawn in awhile. I'm totally bringing the half-robot boy back...

Let me know what you guys think! And have fun stuffing your faces tomorrow! I'm gonna see some horses!! :D

Obligatory Halloween Image!!!

Halloween is almost upon us and it's already snowing out! So I hunkered down and scribbled a Halloween themed piece with my OC's Sariel and Adeline.

I'll be quitting my job at Lane Bryant soon so I can keep my weekends free to use on working on my commissions. Not that they use me much anyway, but they keep calling me in on days I thought I was off. *UGH*

Anyway, I have a few commissions in progress that I can't wait to post! Stay tuned!

And the Story Continues!

I know I don't have a whole lot of people following this thing, but I'm still gonna apologize for the length of time it's taken me to get more posts up. I recently lost my internet connection at my apartment so I'm kinda dying from the fact that I can't haunt my websites as often anymore. Posts are really few and far between! D:>

However, progress on my project about Adeline is gaining momentum. I already have the first 12 pages already thumbed out and more are on the way. The next step is to finally get the actual pages off the ground! While that's underway I've been working on a ton of other images so kind of get all my ideas onto paper, it's crazy the amount of stuff is coming out! So I'm going to dump a few of the pieces I've been working on here, I'm very happy with what's being produced so far! Let's hope the trend continues!

The greed and decadence spewing from this image is overwhelming! But I'm seriously in love with it, I've never done anything this complex ever! But Sariel is worth the trouble!

This is the colored version of a pic I posted awhile ago. I can't wait to draw more of this "Queen" like character (and her minion!)

I drew this on Tuesday in a fit of madness without having the internet up. I just got home from the bookstore and decided that I looked at enough books about monsters to get inspired myself! I haven't drawn an image of Adeline starting out, in a position of tired determination. So here you go!

My first attempt at using a brush to ink a picture entirely. I think Sariel hasn't been this scary in awhile, she's going back to her roots...

A personal sketchcard of Kate Mulgrew from NTSF:SD:SUV::

Well, I know I have more but I want to entice you all to come back! Until next time! Stay Frosty!

A Little Bit of Adeline

As promised I finally scanned in a few things to tide the blog over for awhile lol
I still have a ton of sketches in one of my sketchbooks I need to dig out. But that's for later :D
Mainly it's pieces for a book I'm currently trying to piece together with Rod Hannah. I'm so excited about it that I even set up a group on Deviantart for it called Of Fembots and Flappers!

So let's begin!
One of the first major illustrations for the Adeline Project:

And a couple of Moleskine books I customized. I am taking commissions for these as I have a few books left to draw on so if anyone is interested shoot me an e-mail!

Sketches on the Way!

I know it's been a little bit, and things have been pretty hectic on my end but I do have a TON of stuff I gotta scan and post here!
But I do have some great news! I got a gig doing a set of sketchcards for a pretty high profile set for 5Finity Productions (more info to come after October!), but all I can say is HOLY CRAP I DIDN'T HAVE TO BEG FOR A JOB! Secondly I will be starting to develop my OC Adeline's story for a webcomic type thingy, details are still being ironed out but it's already sounding like a badass project. Rod Hannah will be working with me to make Adeline's world a reality and it's gonna be awesome! I need to be able to beef up my sequential art portfolio so I'm excited!

Lastly, if you happen to be on Deviantart go and check out my new group dedicated to my OC's Of Fembots and Flappers! I'd love to see more people watch the group because who knows what I might post there and not here!

Anyway, time to get some work done and I'll be back in a bit to post some sketches!!

Made a New Friend!!!

And I mean both Sariel and myself! lol
I've been in kind of a funk recently getting motivated to draw more stuff, and last week I started talking to one of the members of my Electrolust art group on Deviantart whose work I admired,Calicot. Well long story short (and over 200 doodles exchanged) Sariel has a new BFF in the form of Augustine, who is every bit as cruel and evil and fembot-ish. We're still gushing over our works mutually, and still drawing more random stuff. You can see more in her gallery (and more stuff about Augustine and Sariel as well). I'm currently editing the doodle fest we had in my spare time. Over 200 images to go through!

My half of our art trade!

Here's her part!

Fembots Will. Obviously. by *Dark-Cali on deviantART

Lastly, some more images of Sariel and Augustine as well as an Adeline pic!

And for anyone looking here for more info about Leo, I'm still trying to get my mom to send pics because she says he's like a new cat now! (complete with shaved butt lol) But he's up and about rough-housing with his brother and supposedly he looks leaner too! I can't wait to hug the little guy!

Vixens and Hulks and a Random Sariel

Trying to get things in order on my end, have a few great commissions I'm working on at the moment so I'll post a few things I was holding off on until after the weekend :D
Here's a poster I did for the Vixens En Garde! I love these gals immensely, and what better way to show my appreciation than through art?

And some sketchcards I did for each member to celebrate their show at the opening of the New York Ren Faire. My buddies April and Brian handed them over as I couldn't make it, but I'm thrilled to know they loved 'em! :D

Next is a commission I got not too long ago featuring the Hulk and She-Hulk. Wasn't sure if I already posted this here, but OH WELL LOOK AGAIN! :D

Last is a doodle of Sariel I recently retouched in my King Sketchbook. Sometimes looking at her face makes me "lol"

As always more work can be seen on my Deviantart page. And in the near future I'll be posting updates to the commissions I'm working on now, especially my big ass portrait piece I'm doing :D

Found out last night that Leo might have to go back to the Vet tomorrow as he has a suspicious limp that no one can figure out the cause of. So I'm really worried about the little guy that perhaps something might have happened from the surgery :C I wish I was there for him

A Couple of Vixens...

I just finally finished coloring the last two members of Vixens En Garde, Hera and Pandora! I'm going to be editing all of the images soon into a single piece complete with a logo. I do it because these gals are just plain awesome, and work their asses off to pull off amazing shows!

You might remember the first Vixen I rendered awhile back, the gorgeous and badass Calypso:

As an added bonus, I sketched and inked a Batwoman:

And as a joke based on the last image of Sariel and Abitha I did (since no one noticed the dying flowers on Sariel's side) I doodled this in my sketchbook:

Poor Dommi: "My flower arrangement!! Sariel brings death and destruction everywhere she goes"

Hoping to get some more stuff done within the next few days. Stay frosty guys!

Inks and Naughty Stuff - NSFW

It's been a few days, but I've been busy cranking out more images. I wanted to wait until I had more things scanned, so here they are. And suffice to say the last image is not safe for work :B
First things first!
The last three sketchcards for the charity auction inked. As soon as I mail off the cards I'll post all of the colored ones here. And possibly a collage...
My favorite of the last batch, Batwoman!

This next Batwoman card was something I did for myself so I can play around with acrylic paint and India ink:

The Fuzzy Elf himself, Nightcrawler!

And because I drew Loki earlier, a mandatory Thor!

Lastly the NSFW image I doodled in my moleskine:

Now back to work, if I could whip myself into doing it I would but alas...

OC Sketchcards!

I decided I wanted to make a set of inked sketchcards for myself just so I can stretch out and work on improving my inking skills. I was cranking Bach in the background as I drew and I think it helped! D:

First up are the individual cards starting with Sariel! :D

Adeline! Actually one of my favorite images of her to date:

And lastly Abitha:

As an added bonus I drew and colored a sketch I did of Poul and Primus from my friend April's Robots of Death fanfic. I haven't drawn them in ages *tear rolls down cheek* :B

I'm trying to get a few more pieces done today plus some sculpture stuff during the week. You know I'll be back!

The Dothraki and Batgirl

Some stuff I worked on today that I'm really pleased with. I broke out the prismacolor markers for the first time in a week to start working on a Batgirl commission and on a personal piece of fanart for Game of Thrones.

So first we got the nice lookin' Dothraki Khal Drogo:

And the sketch and base colors for Batgirl, which I hope to get done sometime this weekend!

As an added bonus, I sketched this pic of Sariel the other night for no other reason than to draw her "shocked" face.

Yeah I know there's a random floating foot there, but I was saving it as reference for later since I didn't have the heart to erase it :B
