OC Sketchcards!

I decided I wanted to make a set of inked sketchcards for myself just so I can stretch out and work on improving my inking skills. I was cranking Bach in the background as I drew and I think it helped! D:

First up are the individual cards starting with Sariel! :D

Adeline! Actually one of my favorite images of her to date:

And lastly Abitha:

As an added bonus I drew and colored a sketch I did of Poul and Primus from my friend April's Robots of Death fanfic. I haven't drawn them in ages *tear rolls down cheek* :B

I'm trying to get a few more pieces done today plus some sculpture stuff during the week. You know I'll be back!

A Few Finished Things...

I'm going to hold off on posting all the colored Marvel sketchcards until all ten of them are finished. I have about three more to go... But in the meantime, here's a Loki I drew for my sister:

The three Minbari from Babylon 5 I finished this morning.

And here are the individual cards:

Here's hoping the internet comes back to me at home so I can post more when I have it during the weekend! I'm hanging out at the bookstore looking like some kind of hipster (the thought of it frightens me).

Mutants Vs. Minbari

A second post in one day? Who knew?
Anyway, I finished inking the Marvel related cards I was working on so I decided to post those as well as the Babylon 5 related cards I finished inking last night.
First off are the Marvel cards I plan on coloring tonight:

And a three parter! Lennier, Delenn, and Neroon from Babylon 5:

And the cards by themselves...

Hope you guys like 'em! With any luck I'll have them colored and ready to post by tomorrow or during the weekend.

X-Men and a Lone God

Some of the blue-pencil stuff from last night I'm inking at the moment. They'll look so sweet when they're done...I hope!

Gotta love some Rogue from the X-Men!

And you can't have Rogue without Gambit!

Oh yeah... And some Loki :B My sister will have a field day with him.

Of Sketches and Cybermen

Back again for another round of tossing sketches on this here blog for the enjoyment of the few :B But those few get to enjoy the stuff I won't post on Deviantart (since I'd clutter up the place!)
This time we have a sketch commission I just finished of Ace and Jack Harkness fighting a Cyberman (80's) from Doctor Who.

And some sketches I did while I was waiting to go to work (usually when I do my best sketches!) I might color these two in at some point, just to keep my promise to color every page of that Moleskine book I started.
My good old Flapper Barbarian chick Adeline. Ready for the summer? Possibly.

The first sketch on here is of a woman I thought up of when bored out of my mind working at the Tax Department. She's supposed to have flames for hair and all that jazz. And natrually I couldn't have a page without one of the characters from the Dommi project I'm working on Claud, being mopey and moody :B

Until next time! Keep watching the skis... err skies!

Batgirl and Hulks

Happy 4th of July to those who celebrate. Here are a few things I've been working on over the weekend.
First the finished Batgirl commission:
Prismacolors on bristol board with an India ink background.

Next the first four cards (out of ten) for a charity auction I'm helping out. I'm only posting the inked versions for now, the colored/finished ones will go up shortly.

The Dothraki and Batgirl

Some stuff I worked on today that I'm really pleased with. I broke out the prismacolor markers for the first time in a week to start working on a Batgirl commission and on a personal piece of fanart for Game of Thrones.

So first we got the nice lookin' Dothraki Khal Drogo:

And the sketch and base colors for Batgirl, which I hope to get done sometime this weekend!

As an added bonus, I sketched this pic of Sariel the other night for no other reason than to draw her "shocked" face.

Yeah I know there's a random floating foot there, but I was saving it as reference for later since I didn't have the heart to erase it :B

Playing Catch-Up

Not too long now until I start scanning in a new batch of sketches. Until then I have a few to go up now. I'm picking and choosing really, some are old but I love them and wanted to give them a chance to be seen.

First up is a sketch I did with a few of my original characters Nan the Priest and Adeline the Barbarian Flapper (don't you just love the sound of that? :B )

Next is a costume design I did for Adeline. I'm coming up with a metric shitload of headdresses for her to wear...

This is one of my favorites. My friend Zac sent me some help a few weeks back and I drew this for him as a thank you. It's of my gal Sariel and his character Anne Hedonia squishing the ever lovin' life out of Johnathon the cat <3 You can see the rest of Zac's work here.

Lastly, a concept sketch for a piece featuring Sariel I wanted to do:

As always you can see the rest of my work on my Deviantart Gallery.
