Whoah! Things Are Moving Fast!

Hey guys (those that remain!), it's been awhile since I've been able to update here. Things have been getting pretty hectic in these parts, work is getting more and more difficult (but I still have a job so I'm keeping my fingers crossed), the relationship with the bf is getting better and better which makes me very happy, and artwork (while slow in the making) is getting to the point where I finally feel like I've hit a stride.

I've posted quite a few things to my Deviantart page as of late. Including one very awesome full color Adeline piece. At some point soon I'll try to get things up here. Until then, stay frosty!

Commission and Diagnosis!

I finally got the results from my blood work done a week or so ago, I've been officially diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. It's not a great thing to have naturally, but it's nice to finally put a name on all the stuff going on lately. The symptoms are exactly what I've been experiencing. So now I'll be starting to take some medication to correct the levels and in about six weeks return to get another blood test and see where that goes.

I won't beg again, but it'd be nice to take in some more commissions to kinda offset the cost of the doctor visits and prescriptions because it's hitting my account hard and I have a lot of bills to take care of. And since my birthday is officially in a month, I've been trying to save up to do something nice.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing alright. You can check out my last commission in my gallery if you want to take a gander at what you can score :)

Doctor Who Sketchcards

Hey all! Been pretty busy as of late, training for more stuff at work and working on my ONE commission (c'mon guys give me some credit).

Anyway I started working on some Doctor Who sketchcards to generate interest since original works don't seem to cut it. Here are the first four (I have about six in the wings waiting to be colored). You can take the link back to my Deviantart page to see a bigger image. I will be selling them if anyone is interested.

In other news, I started penciling my book. I'm hoping to get enough done to start inking it :D

Well that's it out of me for now, if anyone wants to commission me, you know where to find me!

Fight for Your Life

Took long enough, but I finally finished this piece I've been working on for the last month or so. Comments are greatly appreciated (as well as commissions!)

Precious Marker Fumes...

So what little I had in commissions are actually out the door. Well just the one anyway, but I haven't posted some of them here until now. So I'm seriously open to have anything done now, but I'd prefer to get more commissions in if anyone wants to help me out a bit, gotta put that money into my bills.
Until that day comes I might go ahead and continue to do a bunch of cards with the intention of selling them, maybe even doing more of the Utena cards so I can make it an entire set.
Anyway, here are some things I finished recently (I noticed that this is the third blog post this week! I go twenty some odd days of busy busy and then BAM! Artwork!)

First off, a commissioned sketchcard for my bud Zoé of her character Isabelle Ta Kae:

Next, a two-part sketchcard commish for Claire of her characters!
Photobucket

And lastly a commissioned illustration piece for Jay of the 11th Doctor Matt Smith in an alternate costume he gave me the specs for.

Well, hopefully everyone is enjoying their weekend, I sure am! Just had a blast last night staying in and watching films and eating dinner with the bf :D :D Good times!

The First Sketchdump of the Year!

Haw haw haw She said dump *snickers*

As promised I've scanned in a bunch of stuff to compile for a New Year's post!

The first sketch is something specifically for the new year, and the second is a sketchdump I've been piecing together (mainly sketches and doodles from work and such as I hardly had any time recently to do much outside of my full time job and thumbs for the Adeline book).

In any case, I hope you guys enjoy them! As always I'm open for commissions if any of ya got some cash burning a hole in your pocket :D

And Happy New Year officially! *HUGSALLAROUND*

Some Fembot's been dipping into the moonshine, poor Adeline...

And here's the first dump of the year (*still snickers*)
I'm hoping to get some more doodles done as soon as possible, especially if I get that job at Tax again this year and have the notepads in front of me again :B

It's That Time of Year...

...I start cranking up The Carpenters Christmas albums and work myself into a stupor. So far it's been an enjoyable month, I don't sit near the radio at work listening to "other" Christmas music (I loathe) and things have been quite nice in my personal life as of late, couldn't be happier. Dating does that to people I guess :3

On the art front I finished laying out the thumbnail images to the first Adeline book, just getting them onto proper layout pages so I can have Leanne and Rod Hannah take a gander (because their input and suggestions are valuable nuggets I will not part with!). Maybe then I might post some teaser images here to show off and get motivated to start the actual pages! It's all falling into place mwahaha-- err *ahem*

Anyway now to the part you guys come here for, the art. I drew this piece for the annual holiday cards I send out to friends, family, and clients. Usually I do fanart but this year has been all about the OC's so I took Adeline out for a spin with some owls in tow. I'm really with how everything turned out!

Anyway, I've got a few things lined up. I'll be working on a set of Shi cards for 5Finity Productions this month (well, as soon as I get the cards :D ) a commission I'm almost done coloring, and a Sariel piece that's almost done being colored as well. Other than that I could certainly use some commissions. I also added a "donate" button at the top of the blog for anyone willing to help a starving artist out. After this month I might being going back into panic mode as the job I'm at now will start layoffs soon and I don't have anything else lined up in the meantime.

But enough about that for now, think happy thoughts! (which reminds me... I need to do a Hook themed piece at some point)

Happy Holidays everyone!

Another Sketchdump!

It's been awhile since I just threw a bunch of stuff around here with no reason whatsoever than to bug you all. But I completely forgot to post one of my commissions and some sketches I had been working on in King Moleskine.

I wish I had the time to draw more shit at work! lol

We'll start off with a new OC I started working on earlier last week. There's a possibility I might be using her for the Adeline story I'm working on. Thanks to my buddy Zoé Chamoux, she's got a name! From henceforth she'll be known as Mashreen!

Here's a lineup of a bunch of the girls I've drawn so far (need to add Mashreen in there at some point!). Love love LOVE Adeline's expression in this!
Photobucket

Here's a Black Orchid commission I did for Roy Johnson!
Photobucket

And lastly, a sketchcard I did of Adeline on my breaks at work.
Photobucket

Hope you all are doing well! Gonna be busy inscribing a metric shitload of holiday cards soon and making thumbs for my next official set of cards. But I'll still be open for any commissions if any of you should feel inclined to hit me up :D

And for those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, have a good one! I hope I can get some turkey and mash this year :D

Grimm Fairy Tales - THE SET!

So I got the go ahead to post my cards after the 20th and so here they are!!! I've been waiting since August to show these babies off! :D This is my first official set of sketchcards (with more I hope in the future!), I did these for 5Finity Productions. I love these cards and I can't wait to get my return cards in the mail...

Let me know what you guys think! (and hopefully these will convince others to commission old Danielle for more cards!)

Finally it's Done! :D

My Bond commission for Chris Kohler!

It's taken me awhile to finish it, but I really wanted to make this piece shine. It's been a few years since I've done anything this big, and the first time I've added background elements to my portrait pieces, but I'm very thrilled with how it turned out!

I'll be putting together a tutorial on how to color marker portraits soon using photos I took while working on this. Exciting stuff!!

Materials:

15x20 hot press illustration board
Prismacolor markers
Luma opaque white paint

Photobucket

As always, I'm open for commissions. Just shoot me an e-mail and we can go from there :D

A Few More Cards...

Finished some sketchcards the other night for my buddy Kevin who commissioned a set of four. I swear he always finds something cool for me to do. And this time was no different, although I was hesitant to draw MODOK since he creeps the fuck out of me! But hell, I churned out a very nice looking card in any case!
I'm still open to taking on more sketchcard commissions as well as anything else anyone might need. I have less than $40 to live off of until my first paycheck in November, so any little bit helps.
I'll have a few more cards to post in a bit, just coloring them at the moment. ;)

So here's MODOK in all his...glory? BRAIN BLAST if you disagree!

One of my personal favorites of the cards I've done featuring film characters, Sherlock Holmes and Charlie Chan:

And the Tornado? I've never heard of him until I got the refs. Love the goggles :B

Back to the Regularly Scheduled Arts

Thought I should post some art up as I haven't posted anything outside of Leo's progress for awhile (though I will continue to update that entry with info as it comes in, and any artwork for his contributors).
I have a few things to go up (and few that'll have to wait until after the weekend).
First are some art trades I did early last week for a few friends of mine :D

And a tattoo commission I received:

I had a sheet of doodles I did to mock Rob Liefeld, but I don't want anyone to think I actually drew it seriously :B
